Luis Palau’s mass evangelism ministry is breaking attendance records in the United States, Latin America, and other parts of the world. His youth-oriented festivals of “Great music, Good News!” are drawing young people and families by the tens of thousands. In August 2000, crowds of 55,000 and 85,000 people gathered in Waterfront Park in downtown Portland, Oregon, for Portland Festival 2000. Treasure Valley Festival in Boise, Idaho, attracted crowds of 40,000 and 60,000 in August 2001. More than 300,000 people jammed Plaza de la Fe in Managua, Nicaragua, July 8, 2001. And in the evangelist's hometown in Argentina, crowds of 80,000 and 120,000 attended Festival Córdoba 2001.
Now in his fourth decade of mass evangelism, Luis Palau [rhymes with “allow”] has spoken to hundreds of millions of people in 104 nations through radio and television broadcasts, and face-to-face to 15 million people in 69 nations.
New York publisher Doubleday just released (September 2001) his newest book, It's a God Thing. Dr. Palau has two other books with Doubleday, Where Is God When Bad Things Happen? and God Is Relevant.
